Elizabeth Finn

Certified Rated and fully accredited coach with the Professional Skaters Association and member of US Figure Skating Association since 1981. I have over 30 years of figure skating experience and began coaching at Idaho Iceworld in 1998. I coach the various disciplines from beginners to competitive skaters, moves in the field, freestyle, dance, choreography, and hockey. I also hold a Master Sports Science Rating and a Level 2 Hockey Accreditation. Additionally, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and practicing therapist.

My coaching philosophy consists of a triad of fun, technique, and emotional support. I coach my students to understand technique. I am a firm believer that our children are far more capable of understanding than most are given credit for, and a skater who understands body position, edges, and the mechanics of skating is a skater who excels. As a therapist I am uniquely positioned to provide my skaters with emotional support. Over the last 20 years I have worked to instill in my students a sense of determination and grit that carries over into other aspects of their lives throughout their lifetimes.
