HOST CLUB:

The Boise Figure Skating Club has been in existence for about 10 years. Prior to that, it was known as the Treasure Valley Figure Skating Club. It is a nonprofit organization run strictly by volunteers and is a board-elected club of eight members. Its mission is to foster amateur competition in figure skating and to promote the advancement of figure skating in the Boise community and surrounding areas. The Boise Figure Skating Club is governed by organizational bylaws that are consistent with the rules, policies, procedures and code of conduct and principles of ethical behavior of the U.S. Figure Skating.

Every June, the Boise Figure Skating Club hosts a competition sanctioned by the U.S. Figure Skating. It also offers a couple test sessions per year which enable skaters to either advance to compete in qualifying competitions or to continually challenge themselves and their abilities.

Members of the Boise Figure Skating Club volunteer their time to assist the Idaho Ice World and its learn-to-skate program during the annual Christmas on Ice show, in which club skaters also perform. Club skaters also provide intermission entertainment at the Idaho Steelheads and Junior Idaho Steelheads games throughout the year.
